The famous Murano Glass Art is created in the city of Venice and the adjacent island of Murano.
Murano’s reputation as a centre for glassmaking was born when the Venetian Republic, fearing fire and destruction to the city’s buildings, ordered the destruction of all the foundries within the city in 13th century and it authorized constructions outside the city, and by the late 13th century, the glassmaking industry was centred on Murano Island.

Murano glassmaking is an extremely complex process and usually involves several glassmaking techniques.

Our Murano Glass collections feature glass art from several Italian glass Masters such as Oscar Zanetti, Luca Vidal, Mario Gambaro, Andrea Tagliapietra and Arnaldo Zanella.
